How to Become a Member
We have a limited number of spots available for the 2012 season, so the best way to secure your share is to email us at dave@daveroos.com or call us at 412-203-3486 and we’ll work out the details.
Delivery vs. Pick-up
If you live in or near Avella or Washington, we are happy to deliver your share right to your door. Or you can save a little money by picking up your share, either at the farm or at a convenient pick-up site in your neighborhood. For 2012, we will have one pick-up site in Upper St. Clair and another in Washington.
Working on the Farm
We love to have CSA members help out on the farm; no experience necessary. It’s not backbreaking work — usually weeding, seeding, transplanting or harvesting — and the work “day” is never longer than 4 or 5 hours. We’re offering a $50 discount to any member who can commit a single day a month (for six months) to working with us at the farm. If you love food and being outdoors, working in a garden is a deeply rewarding experience.
I am interested in this…I am thinking about a half share for this year possibly since I don’t know what you will be offering. ??? There are several veggies my husband doesn’t eat, so I would like to see what you are going to offer. I wish you the best of luck in this venture! Love the blogging and pictures! Keep up the good work!
Please get back to me via email for further discussion. Thanks!
Dave and Family,
I have passed the last 15 minutes updating myself on your latest adventure, Left Bower Farm. I am psyched for all of you! The article about you and the farm posted on Facebook was awesome. I dig the website too. I wish you the best in your respectable work. Bravo!
