The first picking of tomatillos means roasted tomatillo-serrano salsa. Mixed with shredded chicken and sautéed veggies (diced zucchini and chard last night), we made some absurdly good tacos. The salsa verde packed a little too much heat for the kids, so they got a milder red sauce spiced with cumin and chili powder. Witness the before and after pictures, taken roughly 10 minutes apart.
